I Want to say "Sign Design in Billings Montana", because this is where I live and learned. I think seeing the Signage in Seattle was my biggest turning point in realizing what a huge "ART FORM" it really is. Working at Billings Sign Pro, I believe I design more in two weeks than most Ad Agencies do in months.

You have seconds to make a statement to a busy public ( target audience ). What makes you look twice on a busy street. You do not have the luxury of a monitor or a phone in someones face to show your work, it is in a "forest" of distractions. You start finding that,...you get addicted.

For some it goes way beyond the 8 hour day,.. the paycheck. For some there is more to it. Much much more,.. and you will see it right away.
A Billings Sign Company, That thinks out of the BOX.
The objective was to provide a unique and attractive way for a Credit Union to also provide advertising for their tenants in their building.

It got tricky when they also asked for the feature covering their ATM...."MATCH".
To Think "Quite Literally" Out of The Box
When I design, I want everyone involved in the construction to be complimented, EVERY bit as much as the client who trusted me to give them a one of a kind design.
A designer to a sign company is like the quarterback of a football team. All sign companies can build outdoor features. The client will choose the one they like best. ( Point Blank )
The client hated his existing display structure. He had asked for a new look. I brought him out of the last 50 years with a new logo, a new look and feel.

I utilized Channel features, border tubing ( L.E.D. ) and an aluminum composite raised backer with concealed blue tubing for a light wash.
​
I washed the sides with RGB building floods for the blue accents.
